It's time again to take a look on the world's browser market share results.
I've got some good news for all people who are fed up with Internet Explorer. This browser noticed a decrease of 1.31%. It has still 76% of the market.
Firefox share continues to grow, it's now around 17% so when this trend continues it should more than 20% soon. It's all about the users and their approach to the market. Spread Firefox and help it grow!
With a huge number of sold iPhones and Ipods the share of Safari is also growing - it's now around 5.6%.
Opera lost a bit in December and has now a market share of 0.65%. On the other hand Opera Mini kept growing.
Netscape Navigator increased its market share a bit and has now 0.66% of the market.
As always we're more than happy that Firefox managed to attract more and more users - which is not a big surprise - it's simply the best browser!

Mozilla has released the latest version of the Firefox web browser. Firefox is in version 2.0.0.10 right now. The latest update comes with a fix for a widely spread flaw related to a cross-site request issue. It also comes with fixes for memory corruptionproblems. The next important fix in the update is for a problem related to how Firefox processes .jar files. Existing Firefox 2 users will get automated updates in the coming days. You can also update the application manually, just download Mozila Firefox 2.0.0.10 from the download section.
Recently it has been announced that Firefox 3.0 BETA has been released. While the new version is available on the Net the makers of Firefox suggest users to use version 2.0. Version 3.0 is still unstable and has to be tested by people who know what tot look for. So for now don't feel tempted to get the new version and stick to 2.0.0.9 or the new one 2.0.0.10 that will be available probaby this week.
In the BETA version the makers are aiming to enhance te security of the browser. Firefox 3.0 adds a malware check, a phishing filter-like feature that will warn users who want to reach a malicious URL that has been blacklisted; one-click site information that displays the ownership of the site; fixes for vulnerabilities in plug-in updating; and integration with antivirus software and Windows Vista's parental control settings.
So I think that we're all waiting for Mozila Firefox 3. I'm sure it will be even better and what is more - secure as never before. Will keep you updated on that.
